PURPOSE Ripley’s is not a traditional company, and this is not a traditional HR role. At Ripley’s, we believe in the extraordinary. What started as one man’s curiosity has become a global legacy powered by people who dare to be different. We have a workforce of nearly 3,000 employees, with a significant number hired in a concentrated period for the summer season, creating a unique need for strong HR leadership, processes that can handle high-volume hiring and day-to-day HR needs across many locations, and practical operational support.
We have a unique opportunity for a Corporate Director, Human Resources, to join our team and support our organization through people-first leadership. We operate in a business built around millions of memorable guest experiences each year, and those experiences start with strong teams. We value and need an HR leader who understands both people and business, who is committed to strengthening our culture, is passionate about developing our people, and dedicated to supporting our employees by staying closely connected to our teams across North America.
WHO YOU ARE You are a trusted HR leader who brings an open-minded approach and builds credibility through sound judgment, active listening, practical business sense, and consistent follow-through. You have extensive experience in building and developing HR processes and procedures, creating and successfully executing training and development programs to elevate employees, and possess expertise in supporting multiple business units and teams.
You are comfortable advising senior executives, supporting front-line managers, navigating complex employee and labor relations, coaching leaders, and helping the business make thoughtful people decisions. You are not about bureaucracy, and you understand that strong performance and positive culture go hand in hand. You bring executive presence, a high degree of emotional intelligence, strong follow-through, and the confidence to challenge assumptions when you see a better way forward.
